The occurrence of duplicates has various reasons, but often the cause is the visitor himself when creating the data.
Possible examples for the occurrence of duplicates are

Visitors re-enter addresses or records without searching for an existing entry

A different spelling variant is used for the search (for example Müller / müller)
A duplicate check is available for the rare cases in which duplicates can occur.
